Other than this place needing a total remodel, this is a great bar. Good food and great bartenders. Love the history of this place

Popy Cock on the below crap reviews, I first visited varsity in 1982. The fact that little has changed is the draw. Great food and hang out, if your too fagile for the neighborhood, stay home
No you don't find the youngest guys, but the experience says alot about the place. Quit being scared of older dudes.

Oh my gosh turn on the lights - more trolls than people and ghetto outside...

I was just stopping in for a bite to eat before I went out to party on my birthday, well lets just say, that was as far as I got that night. I had a blast, the customers and bar staff and a couple of my friends was all I needed that night. Very well (not) planned night that went so right.Thank you Varsity for a memorable night.

Had an unsafe experience with persons hanging out and following upon departure. If you must go, be careful!

This is one of the best clubs in Indy. The music and atmosphere can not be beat. This is the place to go if you don't want to deal with the just turned 29 crowd. The older and more mature customers make this the best night club experience.

As for a major club promoter from Tampa, Fl I have to give them major props, they have great and friendly bartenders who show lots of attention and remember you. Almost like cheers very low key. Only con is sometimes you gotta feed the juke box. BUT EXCELLENT , EXCELLENT FOOD! Start here and then take your adventure.

The Varsity is going thru a nice change. Going from an old gay bar to a middle age bar. Great place to get some good food and people are so friendly there. Fun bar to start and end the night at.
So, what do you say?
