Indy Pride and the Indianapolis Museum of Art invite you to 'Send ‘LOVE' to Orlando'.
On Sunday, June 19 from 2 – 4 pm, we will gather on the IMA’s Dudley and Mary Louise Sutphin Mall, near the ‘LOVE' sculpture, for a picnic and creative arts healing celebration. Send ‘LOVE' to Orlando provides a safe space for people to come together, participate in healing through art, and show solidarity with Orlando.
Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy an uplifting community event designed to create solace through art.
--> Write postcard letters of love and support to the community affected by the tragedy in Orlando.
--> Create rainbow chalk drawings and messages on the sidewalk surrounding Robert Indiana’s LOVE statue.
--> Make posters for display in a group photo, which will be shared on social media.
At 3:30 pm, we will gather around ‘LOVE' for an aerial photo opportunity featuring the afternoon’s artworks.
Food trucks will be on site. Overflow parking, with a shuttle, will be available at Light of the World Christian Church (4646 N. Michigan Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46228).
