Come Join Us for an Evening of Remembrance The Indiana Transgender Wellness Alliance And The Interfaith Coalition on Non Discrimination Request Your Presence For Transgender Day of Remembrance Memorial Saturday November 19th 2016 6:30PM to 8:00PM Life Journey Church 2950 East 55th Place Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), occurs annually in November. The day is to memorialize transgender and gender-non binary people who have lost their lives as a result of anti-transgender violence, for no other reason than living as their true selves. The event provides a forum for the transgender community and allies to raise awareness of the threat of violence faced by Transgender and Gender-Variant people. The service is conducted in such a way as to bring awareness to the persistence of prejudice experienced by the transgender community. A candle light vigil will be part of the service as we remember those who have lost their lives through violence towards Gender Non binary / Transgender Persons.
